Chapter 11: Mission Difficulty - Medium

At the entrance of the Cyber-Disco on Kimberly Rd., a group of five male HKS agents wearing similar standard gray and black wool suits were huddled inside an active Cantonese language conversation; in effect, they appeared to not have much of an interest with recent events that took place at the club. But inside the establishment, HKS Chief Kang, wearing a beige suit without a tie, and Max, wearing black military ops gear, analyzed last night’s damage cause by Kumage at the bar.

Around the dance floor, they observed that an abundant number of shoes, sandals, and flip-flops were scattered by customers who previously escaped during the beginning of this bloody tragedy---to getaway quicker, the patrons simply used their bare-feet. Moreover, the dead body of Kumage’s first target had to be removed before its stench overtook all other odors, including any bliss which may had been leftover by Kumage from last night’s ruckus.

Three Hong Kong paramedics, wearing white lab-coats and blue latex gloves, inserted the bullet-holed corpse inside a light blue zippered body bag. Max ignored the dead body, and instead pulled from his right pocket, next to the straps that held his bullet-proof vest in place, a pair of white latex surgical gloves and struggled to snap them on. But through the many pieces of footwear, he found Kumage’s empty magazine, thus he picked it up and peeked inside with one of his two blue eyes. Subsequently, he verified that the clip was truly empty, and then removed from his left-side pocket a plastic bag used to preserve evidence, shook it open, dropped the clip inside, and sealed it. With a glance toward Kang, he considered that he should consult with his boss about the motive; but as the zipper on the body-bag slid to a close, he could not even peek at the cadaver---how could Kumage be so merciless, he considered.

"She was vicious." Max said in English to Kang, placing the plastic bag inside his right-side pocket.

"Yes." Kang concurred in the same language. "But why did she shoot him six times?"

"She used her entire clip too."

"Wait, wait, wait. The whole clip?"

"Yep."

"But that can’t be?"

"What do you mean? Why do you say that?"

"She never misses."

Somewhat bemused by the analysis, Max returned to view the three paramedics lift the covered corpse, and then carry it across the floor. However, when Kang glanced at the body, the zippered bag tore open from the bottom, and the dead body’s hand and forearm dropped out with a touch of rigor mortis. All that the HKS chief could do in reaction to the fowl-up was roll his eyes upward and swiftly avoid any further glimpsing.

"We’ll have to look up Kumage’s previous missions." Kang said to Max. "Find any issue where she may have made an error. Anything...anything that caused her to screw up. This chick never missed."

"I’ll get right on it." Max consented.

"Yeah, I’ll bet you will."

Max ignored the quip because there were no indications that Kang knew of any
